Lockdown default name field in member settings

    Hi

    Im trying to set up a course site for our school

    We need to be able to identify our students easily, so we are gonna pre create their accounts via admin, and turn off register completly.

    But then comes the problem, as they log in they can change the default name field that comes with Buddypress through their profile to whatever they want = we have no idea who the user is anymore.

    Is there any way to lockdown that field so only admins can edit it?
    Or maybe lockdown the profile edit page would be even better?

    I have 0 php knowledge, so i’m completly stuck here… Anyone have an idea how to do this?

    English is not my native language, so please be nice :)
