Login and logout issue

    I hope this is the right place to ask the following question.
    We are having trouble logging and log gout out of buddypress. We have a chat board that is attached to buddypress. Once we enter the chat board as a logged in user. We are having problems logging out. For instance logged in as admin but when I logout and try to login as a subscriber or newmember is still says I am admin. They only I can get it too work is to clear cookies or restart browser. This is a real issue with our site. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

    To be honest my first thought is some scripting clash with the behaviour you are suggesting. However, that’s hard to guess – is a link to your site possible? I would probably suggest you try with the plugin deactivated and maybe the default theme and the plugin. It could be your theme also – it’s hard to gauge.

    Would you be able to tell us more about what theme / chat plugin you are using?

    The chat plugin is called phpfreechat the theme is the BuddyPress Default 1.5.5 by the BuddyPress team.

    I did NOT install the theme nor the phpfreechat. We paid a developer to do this. However, he has been very unresponsive at our request to get him fix this problem.
