Login Button Customization

When the members of my site log in, the button displays their name and a dropdown menu for “New Post” and “Settings”.

When they click on “New Post” it takes them to the login page again.

I want to remove the “New Post” option from the dropdown menu, but I can’t find where to remove it.

Help!

Usually after logging in if a link takes you to the login page it is due to the http/https being different, ensure that you are both logging in to and have links set to the same http or https.
