Login in multisite keeps directing back to root page

I just installed buddypress, and seemed to successfully go through the add-theme-compatibility process.

However, now when I login on one of the sites in my wordpress multisite installation, it directs me back to the root folder.

So for instance, when I login at http://www.domain.com/wordpress/siteA

it takes me to http://www.domain.com/wordpress/ (the wrong site)

When I go back to http://www.domain.com/wordpress/siteA, it shows the “login” option in the menubar again, and when I login it takes me back to the root (wrong) site.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks very much.

    Hi there,
have you checked if you installed into the right folder and changed/checked these setting under “general”?

Hi, thanks for your response. Not sure I understand what you mean. I installed buddypress from the “add plugin” option. Do you mean the primary site setting? That is indeed set to: http://www.domain.com/wordpress/.

Can I not use buddypress with multiple sites? I don’t mind if the user configurations are stored on the primary site, but I want the users to be directed back to their own site when they login…
