Looking for a Rank System

I want to give users Rank, which most people would tell me get a “User Roles” plugin. Well aside from the trajedy of experimenting and utterly ruining two installs of WordPress attempting just that,

More importantly I don’t want to just give them a title, I want to incorporate emblems/icons representing their rank.

For instance a gaming clan or league would have Privates, Team Leaders, Squad, Division, Founders etc.

CubePoints seemed to be the answer, but after installing the BuddyPress INtegration plugin, it utterly fails with multiple errors. Not sure how to deal with it otherwise.

Any suggestions?

yeah i’d say cubepoints is probably the closest thing to what you are seeking but as you mentioned in the other thread there are integration issues, also i’ve seen that cubepoints isn’t very network friendly.

I would suggest the Achievements plugin, it works with BuddyPress but it doesn’t offer ranking. I had built a ranking system for a client based on Achievements, if you like please contact me, maybe I could help you with a similar system. It was as you described too, with an image to represent the ranking if you want.

Hi folks,

I looking for a way to implement an “Avatar system” in a mini-games site.

Would CubePoints be the right choice to allow users expend points in Avatar upgrades, etc?

What kind of interface would that have associated?
