Lost Buddypress Menu Item

    Hi all,
While working through some issues with my BP and Theme, I deleted the page associated with “Members” in the BP setup. For some time, if I clicked on the “Members” BP widget in the menu it would bring me to /members__trashed page with a 404.

Then I recreated the page and associated it in the BP settings. The page loads correctly however the “members” menu widget no longer appears in the buddypress dropdown. How can I re-add it?

    thanks

Under Settings in the admin click BuddyPress. Then the tab Pages and re associate the page to the component.

Thanks @modemlooper, I tried changing the members page to something else, then changing it back but the “Members” item still does not appear in Appearance/Menus/Buddypress.

Try deactivating BP, then the page should show up in Appearance>>Menus>>Pages then you should be able to add it to the menu and then you can reactivate BP.

    Maybe that will work?

Also, have you tried looking for it in the Customizer menu view? Sometimes I have seen pages there that don’t show up in Appearance>>Menus

    I found your register page – http://uk-mgc.com/index.php/register/

But clicking the register link looks for a location of http://uk-mgc.com/register/

Starting to look like a permalink issue

Good suggestions. I was hoping your “Customize” idea would work, but sadly the members item doesn’t appear there either. I have tried disabling BP and re-enabling, but it doesnt help. I thought about uninstalling but it warns that all the data will be deleted. That would be bad 🙂

Update: I’ve tried actually backing up my data and deleting the Buddypress Plugin, yet the problem persists. Is there a way to clean out the DB of buddypress? The bad part about this issue is that the actual member page that I specify now has no security settings, and users that are not logged-in can view the page.

    any help appreciated.
    thanks
