mandatory fields not being validated

    I recently upgraded to Wordpres 3.7.1 and now it seems that my mandatory user registration fields are no longer being enforced. I have received quite a few member registrations with missing mandatory fields.

    have you tried seeing if the problem happens with Twenty Thirteen?
