Mark all as read

I get a ton of notifications for replies to forum posts. Is there a way to select all those notifications and mark them as read OR delete them? I have thousands and clicking them one by one when deleting them is not effective.

    Thank you.

You can manually delete 25 at a time from your profile->notifications.

If appropriate, you could use a plugin like BP Bulk Delete to delete all notifications older than a specified date. Note: it deletes for all users, not just you.

So for example, delete all notifications for all users older than one week.

Yes, 25 at a time is still quite tedious when I have thousands. Especially since there is no checkbox to select all those 25 at once, so I have to click 25 boxes.

I am not sure how well received it would be from my members to have all their notifications deleted though.

    hi,
there should be a “select all” checkbox at top of the list?

I recently used bulk delete for all notifications older than a month for all users. Nobody noticed.

    Oh, that might work! Thanks.

And no, there is no “Select all” on top. That is why I was looking for another alternative.

Did you find a solution to this situation, because I have a similar dilemma?

I ended up postponing this issue since there is a plan to switch forum platforms for 2023 (after using it for 11 years) so I didn’t check further.
