member domain problem

  • Using wpmu 2.8.2 and bp 1.0.3.

Have wpmu and bp installed in a sub-directory of the main domain – domain.com/blog/. Everything works for the most part, but having 404 errors during registration process and url to member blogs.

The activation link and blog links are in this format – username.domain.com/blog/, but that returns a 404 Page Not Found error. However, when I manually type in the url like this – domain.com/blog/members/username, it shows up. Is there a way to fix that?

The default theme borrows /blog/ so if you’ve installed your WPMU into a subdir called ‘blog’ I guess the redirects are getting confused.

So what’s the solution, just re-name the folder?
