Member Search

    Hello,

One thing I have been looking into doing is being able to search members by a combination of profile fields. IE: I have 2 categories of users (Employers and Jobseekers). Jobseekers obviously provide services and employers require services. Example of services would be Childcare and Daycare.

How would one be able to for example search for all Jobseekers that provide Childcare. For the sake of anyone willing to help we can call the two profile fields (User_Type and Service_Provided). So I would like to be able to search for all (User_Type=Jobseeker) and (Service_Provided=Childcare).

I know in the Members Loop for example we can search for all users that would say have Childcare in their profile and it returns in the confines of the members page with something like this (members/?s=Childcare). Essentially I am just wanting to be able to search by 1 additional criteria but as of yet am not sure how. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Upon further reflection what I had thought would work in fact does not. Does anyone know how I could string together a search for the 2 fields? The issue isn’t the member type itself its that the member types both have profile fields with the same value in it. (IE: Childcare)

So searching /members/?s=Childcare will return both Employers and Jobseekers that have selected childcare. I would like to be able to filter those results between Employers and Jobseekers.
