[Resolved] Members not activating

    Hi, I have 2 installs of BuddyPress and both are producing the same outcomes for the theme twentytwelve and the custom theme i’m building.

    Members are signing up.
    Activation email received.
    Activation URL accessed.
    Login – (With message, “your account is now active”)

    Then the members directory still only shows 1 user (administrator).

    In the WP signups table, the account(s) i created via registering are still in there with activated date and column active set to 1.

    I’m running BuddyPress 1.9 and WordPress 3.8.

    Any help greatly appreciated as I can’t see any members who have signed up in the members directory. The profiles are working fine.

    Try logging in as one.

    Have done this with all accounts and still no joy.

    Any ideas?

    @marcella1981 as @hnla suggested, members will not be added to the Members’ Directory until they have actually logged into the site.

    Try installing the plugin ‘User Switching’ and log in as one of the members not showing. They should then be added.

    It’s still not working. As outlined above, I’ve logged in with all accounts that have signed up and still they do not show up.

    I’ll try re-installing WordPress and BuddyPress. It’s an old install, that’s been upgraded.

    Clean install, BuddyPress 1.9.1 and WordPress 3.8

    Actually, it’s working now. Not sure what happened.

    It’s no longer working. Another clean install of WordPress and BuddyPress.

    Any ideas?

    2 members created, administrator (members were not showing upon creation) and another test account. After login, still not showing.

    have you tried isolating plugin conflicts?

    I have no other plugins other that BuddyPress.

    so only wordpress, buddypress and 2012? if that’s the case i would still try 2013 and 2014 first but at that point i would be seeing if it was a server side issue by trying the same scenario on another server.

    Yeah, pretty much that’s about the nuts and bolts of it.

    It was doing it on my localhost the other day. I’ll try reinstalling a little later to check outcomes.

    if the same thing is happening on another server that would suggest to me (at least) that some other less common factor maybe at play like for instance something on a network level that is interfering with something. i will say there have been a relatively high number of registration related issues here lately perhaps the reg process is a bit finicky in the current version.

    The registration is showing up on the activity stream, but anywhere there is a members loop it’s returning null.

    Friends, members directory, group members etc.

    try creating some other activity see if that makes them show up.
