@mentions for Name AND Username possible?

    hi,
    it seems that the @mention is very confusing to many user, especially because users are seeing the names and not the usernames of other people.
    There are extensions whch gve the possibility to display only the username instead of the name globally, but that is annoying because many users do not want to use their usernames as displayed names.
    Is there a possibility to make the @mention work for the displayed names (which can be changed by users) instead or in addition?
