Message feature CC’s Other Members Automatically

    When I send a message to a member, it cc’s 2 other members (random). I am not selecting other names.

    I am running WordPress 4.2.3 (multi-site operation)
    I am running BuddyPress 2.3.2.1 (freshly installed)

    I enter one name in the ‘Send To’ field.
    I enter a subject.
    I write the message.
    I press ‘Send Message’

    After the message sends, it reads: CONVERSATION BETWEEN CORRECTUSER, RANDOMUSER, RANDOMUSER AND YOU.

    I checked the RANDOMUSER accounts and the message was delivered. I logged in using a different username and went through the same steps and it happens just the same.

    I deleted the entire BuddyPress folder from the root and installed a fresh copy. Still same.

    It happens on the Twenty theme and other themes.

    This sounds very strange. If you’re still seeing the problem after you’ve removed all custom code snippets, deactivated all plugins and reverted to TwentyFifteen, then I’d suggest you consider having a security audit done to find the source of the problem.
