message page absent
-
Trying to read messages form the front end dashboard and page dosen’t exist….
-
@kebecweb What do you mean by front-end dashboard? Please be more specific about your issue. WP/BP versions? What did you see where and what steps did you take? URL’s welcome
My WordPress version is 3.5.1 and my Buddypress version is 1.6.4
I loaded the .po and .mo files in french (although the file was for 1.6.3)
When I mean the front end, I’m talking about my profile admin section on the top right hand corner…where you get numbers whenever you get a message…
I have 2 messages right now but when I click them, its says the page dosent exist…
Now I have tested a profile which is not an administrator profile and the messages seem to be working right).
I have disabled all other plugins (I have only one which is Buddypress Courseware)Actually, all the user options in the top right hand corner on the front end are all disabled…when I click on any of them, it says the page doesn’t exist…
– Is this a new installation? Did you go through the Installation Wizard? Did you set Permalinks to other than default i.e., “pretty permalinks”?
– What theme are you using? If you change to BP Default theme, are you able to access your messages?
– Were you able to view messages before? If so, what changes did you make recently in your installation?Im using the default template…I have courseware installed…
Do you wan to have a look? I can create a login for you…@kebecweb have you tried deactivating all plugins except BuddyPress to see if issue is resolved?
Feel free to post a testuser username and passwordok here goes:
I’ve changed the password of the profile in which i get the errors on so that
you can see for yourself@kebecweb the problem seems to be the ‘space’ in the login name (userID). I checked all other users have userID without space, hence the problem is specific to this profile only. I may be wrong, but this doubt needs to be eliminated first.
And it’s not good to post admin user credentials on public forums.
@kebecweb as @mitesh-patel mentioned above, please do not post admin credentials in public forums and the issue is the username with space. I only asked for testuser account to see the issue. I have deleted the info you posted above and I strongly recommend that you change admin credentials in your site as well right now.
