You need to provide more info – what steps can we take to recreate this error?

See message at link. Occurs whenever a member sends another member a message. Deactivated all plugins, still occurring?

    Thank you

Also, flushed cache, reinstalled BP, and still users are getting this message with their messages?

I’m not able to replicate this, have you deactivated all other plugins to see if it’s a conflict?

Yes, I deactivated all plugins to see if it was a conflict. Any idea where this message my be coming from? Should I try to uninstall and reinstall BP? Any other suggestions would be really appreciated. Thank you!

It’s worth trying deleting BuddyPress and reinstalling, but this seems more db related. Basically BuddyPress thinks your users do not have the right privileges to view their messages.

Any tips on how to reset database?

If it was me I’d retrace the function that is producing that message and work back from it to find out what BP check is failing in order to understand what data BP is looking for, I’d then check the data stored in the DB to make sure it’s correct.

One thing you could try is to goto admin>>Tools>>BuddyPress and see if the DB fix tools supplied help.

The issue seems to be a caching problem on the server. When running tests on this new site, and switching between test users, the path to the prior user’s inbox was being used and triggering the BP warning message. I would suggest if you have this issue you clear the cache of your server, of course clear your browser history too, and then check the path generating the message. The last part, was something I initially overlooked. I hope this is helpful and thank you again @venutius for your help!
