modify twentyfourteen theme for buddypress

    I am using twenty fourteen theme for my BP mobile site and I use a child theme for BP desktop site, I want to remove all member tab in activity directory of twenty fourteen theme. I know how we do in child theme, but twenty fourteen does nt have activity.php so I moved activity.php in twenty fourteen, but it doesnt work, any suggestion, or idea please

    make sure the path is correct for activity.php in child theme.
    should be themes/twentyfourteen-child/activity/your-file-to-edit-taken-from-bp-default-theme.php
    and add add_theme_support('buddypress'); to child theme functions.php
