Modifying the profile page

    Hi !

I’m new to buddypress and I have an important question. I installed buddypress and the Graphene theme. I want to customize the look of the member’s profiles pages.

I looked in my theme for the /members/single.php file, which doesn’t exist. I think it means the theme was not really “made for” buddypress. So, I guess my wordpress uses the buddypress default theme pages for the missing ones in my theme ( is it so ? ).

The problem is, whatever the modification i make to the buddypress default theme files, it does nothing to my site. So I guess those files are not used when another theme is activated, even if that theme doesn’t have the basic files for buddypress…

So… the question is: how do I modify the member profile page when my theme doesn’t have a /members/single.php file ?

    * Sorry for my english, it’s a third language.

I meant: when my theme doesn’t have a /member/single folder

Not quite. As of BP 1.7, BuddyPress automagically inserts BP contents in your theme’s pages, i.e.., no need for BP files in your theme at all unless you want to modify the pages per your post above. https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/theme-compatibility-1-7/template-hierarchy/

    Thanks a lot. That helped.
