more info please on BuddyPress

    I was looking at the About section of this site but didn’t really get the answer that I need. If someone could enlighten me pleas if BuddyPress can be a standalone software or does it need to be migrated with WordPress/MU/BBPress?

    I’m looking at building a community site where each user can have their own blogs and showcase their stuffs (videos / music)?

    BuddyPress rus on WPMU, so you need that. BBPress is integrated into BuddyPress. For the majority of installations, you will only need to install WPMU and BuddyPress.
