    Hi @mrgoldfinder23

Profile images should be allowed by default although where you go to upload your image will depend on the theme you’re using. What theme are you using?

Thank you Henry, I am using minamaze on both sites, same theme, same buddypress. Upload profile images box is ticked on both, and yet the bestofbartercard does not give the option to change profile image on one. The settings are identical

That’s odd. You should be given the option to upload so there’s certainly a problem that needs looking at. Usually you can just go to http://example.com/members/username/profile/change-avatar/ and upload your avatar. Your theme should provide a link to this page.

    1. If that link is not accessible then there could be a problem with BuddyPress (likely caused by a theme or plugin conflict).

    2. If your theme isn’t providing the link to the page (usually found via Profile > Change Profile Photo, then perhaps file a report on your theme’s support site so that the theme developers can make it compatible with BuddyPress.

Hope this info helps. Let me know if there’s anything else we can help with here.

Thanks Henry… No idea how too do that. As I say, I am using the same theme on 3 sites but it is not showing on one.

Try typing the link into your browser. You should be able to see an ‘upload image’ button. So for example, type the following:

    http://your-website.com/members/your-username/profile/change-avatar

    Henry,
I’m having the exact same problem. When I did what you suggested with the url above, I THEN saw an edit link and a change profile photo link. Neither did anything however. And, as with the OP, without typing in the suggested URL, those options don’t even show up. Please help.

have you disabled all your other plugins to see if there is a conflict with plugins first?

Have you tried it with default 2014 theme to see if the issue is with just one theme or also defaults?

I just posted a little more detail on the same issue on the other thread similar (started by @griswolddad) here: https://buddypress.org/support/topic/profile-pics/#post-233045
