Multi budypress instances approach (eg. One per country?)

    Hi

I’d like users to be able to post blogs blogs into a country specific buddypress site/view.

For example, if i go to the US version of the site/homepage I see the latest blog posts that were posted using the US site.

I can see two solutions to this:

    1) install a new buddy press instance per country. Each on a subdomain: us.domainname.com
The draw back is that if a user want to contribute across more than one country the have to create a new account for each instance of buddypress. It’s unlikely they will want to contribute to multiple counties but would be nice to have a single account for all.

    2) have a single buddypress install with a country parameter across the site. This gets stored against each post and account. And when viewing the site some sort of filter filters the content based on the logged in profile default country. Unless this filter functionality is available it will be too messy to retrofit it into the solution.

Any thoughs on the best approach?

    Thanks
