[Resolved]MS How can a user create a site if they don’t tick that box on signup?

    I have a BuddyPress running on a multisite, so I also give users the the option to create sites. At the bottom of the registration form, users have the option to create a new site at the bottom:

    ‘Blog details – Yes, I’d like to create a new site’.

    However if users don’t tick this box to create a new site on signup, and decide later that they would like a site, there is no way a user can create a site.

    Is there a solution to this? Is there a plugin that allows users to create a site at anytime? Or is there a way to make the multisite register form work? Because with BuddyPress installed, that multisite form “mysite.com/wp-signup.php” redirects to home.

    Any help appreciated

    @andy277 – not sure what your setup is, and if my setup is extra customized in any way, however..

    one of my mulsite-bp setups – if I am logged in, and I hover over the top bar far right, “howdy admin” a little pop-down menu appears – scroll down to “sites” (hovering) – I have “my sites” and “create a site” – this may be different if a user does not yet have a “site” – would you check?

    Also, on that same setup… I have the list of “member / user created sites” appear on a tab/page called “member blogs” – when I click that page to view all member blogs (aka multi-site sites) – near the top of the page I have a bar with “all sites (default selected “tab”) – my sites (next tab) and create a site (third tab)

    It seems to be a pretty standard link, which I guess you could add just about anywhere on your site – like using a custom menu or whatever – for my site it is MyWebSite dot com/blogs/create/

    Of course these things may not be the same with different setups, and not sure if me being logged in and having admin priv makes any difference and whatever – not enough time to run through various test cases at the moment…

    do you find these options with your setup?

    That’s where it is.

    I’ve always created sites in the admin, and since I’ve never tried BuddyPress with multisite, I was wondering how a user that doesn’t have access to admin would create a site when they are registered as a subscriber, as you can’t create a sites in the sites tab. But it shows in that drop down on the right.
