My activity stream is too long! Want to show them without scrolling.

Hi,

Yesterday I installed buddypress(1.5.3.1) and set my website’s front page as an activity page.
I really like this cool feature but the activity stream looks a little long for me. I want to set the length of the stream like buddypress.org Site Activity page.

Here is what I want to change.

1. Set the activity excerpt length shorter.
2. Want to show the “Load More” bar after 5 or 10 activity streams.

Please help me!
