New 2021 theme Missing password field

Hi there. I did a fresh install using the NEW 2021 theme and when I installed Buddypress fist time ever the registration page DOES NOT SHOW the password field.

I finally changed the theme to 2020 and the password field was indeed displayed.

I am in love with the 2021 theme, is there a quick fix for this. I could really use the help. I am very excited to get BuddyPress up and running together with the 2021 theme. Thank You. James

It is actually called “2021” made by the WordPress Team. Thanks for looking at this.

There seems to be an error in the css BuddyPress supplies.

Within wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-templates/bp-nouveau/css/twentytwentyone.min.css

You can search for
#buddypress.twentytwentyone .wp-pwd:not(.is-open){display:none}
and replace none with inherit
I’ll open a ticket to have this fixed.

Indeed there is, imath has created a patch which will likely be in the next release https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/8425
I’m not sure when that is scheduled for release but the patch should show the changes required if you wish to make them temporarily yourself.
