New here – can users add images to their posts?

    I am just creating a new site for friends and family and want to be able to let people post images in their activity stream – but can’t see how that works as no add media button exists. What am I doing wrong? I have installed buddypress, genesis framework, genesis connect for BP and thats about it.www.alirat.net is the site.

    hi @alirat,

    as no add media button exists.

    Is not intended for. Notices are for brief messages, and html is stripped for security reason.

    To get that, consider this plugin.

    Thanks for your reply. Not keen on WPMU Dev products myself, (not the products but the membership thing) so will have a look at some other plugins.

    Is BP intended to have the users use the ‘Post’ function of WordPress to share their stuff?

    Have you tried or are you using the rtmedia plugin?

    or checked out the new beta http://wptavern.com/mediapress-now-in-beta-a-new-media-gallery-plugin-for-buddypress

    I THINK both of these add that functionality?

    On one of my bp sites with rtmedia enabled I have an “attach files” button under activity box when logged in.. I THINK that allows uploaded a pic to the activity stream(?) not sure if this is enabled by the rtmedia plugin or something else. I could check further.
