New to BuddyPress, question about notifications..

I have just successfully installed BuddyPress and created new profile fields for users to modify.

Is there an ability, or a plugin, based on the selection in a user\\\’s profile field to initiate an email notification?

In other words, if someone registered to my site and checked that they would like to subscribe, can an email go out to someone that says the person checked off \\\”subscribe\\\”?

No plugin but you can hook into the profile fields save hook and send an email. Google a bit. Im sure this has been posted before

I think the hook is xprofile_data_before_save
