New users can login without clicking email activation link

    New users are being sent the activation email but aren’t being required to click through it in order to log on. They can just log on as soon as they fill the registration form out. I want to force them to have to click through the email link to activate and log on. I thought that was the idea of an activation email. Am I missing a setting somewhere maybe?

    No. By default, they need to activate their accounts.

    In theory, anyway. I wonder if it could be a cookies issue? Its a testing environment (but on a live remote host LAMP server). I had logged out as an admin, then created a new account with a second email, and it let me login as the new username without clicking the link I got.
