No Avatar Uploader for Groups

Hi BP Community,

Setup:
WP 4.3.1
BP 2.3.3
Genesis: 2.2.2
Genesis Buddypress Connect (latest) – for templating

I have an issue with Group Photo/Avatar, it seems that the uploader is not being rendered. ( see screenshot: http://imgur.com/con1xSc ). I am also getting a function error on underscore.js from wp-includes.

Also, when creating a new group, I could upload and crop the group avatar but still it wont render on the group’s page.

I am developing the site at directory1.icacoach.com

Any help is gladly appreciated.

Give a try with 2015 theme.
Note that Genesis Connect (latest was 2014-1-25) is a backward compatibility plugin for BP that was installed prior to version 1.7. Though that plugin is interfering with group photo.

Hi danbp,

You’re right, the media uploader is working for 2015 theme. Are there any hope for this? I am about to launch this site and I don’t want to redo my work.

It seems this is the culprit.

Update:

I tried to disconnect the plugin and the uploader is now available. However my customization and custom loop is no longer applicable. I really like the plugin but sadly I need to let it go.
