Not want to hide @username while turning-off activity streams.

    Hello Community,

    Loved new version, and still exploring BuddyPress. Currently, I’m facing an issue, while I don’t want to show “activity” of any of users to anyone. How to hide these activity from any member, while their profile and listings must be shown as displaying there.

    When, I check “Activity Streams” from the dashboard, it gets hidden as expected but @username there also got hidden, which I really not wanted. Kindly help.

    Yep @mentions is a part of the Activity Streams component so turning this off will also remove the @username since this can no longer be used.

    You could always overload the members profile header page you are using and add the username back in, however what good would that do since that username is only used in activity feed `@mentions’ it’s the wp username, not the BP displayname. So I guess it really depends on what you are aiming for.
