Nothing seems to work

    Hi guys.

ive tried re-installing WordPress, and then buddypress 10 times in the last 2 days and im suffering from the same problem that i see many people seem to have.

I set up in accordance with the turorials. when i click Add new group, or any profile edit link, im returned a 404. None of the groups, activity or users pages work. I’ve tried using both twenty twelve and twenty fourteen themes and both have the same problem.

If im honest im pretty much beaten now. For something that is supposedly easy to set up, it doesnt inspire a great deal of confidence that so many people seem to be having this issue. My site is http://www.everyonesawesome.com

Are you on a apache or a windows server ? phpinfo() will show you if mod_rewrite is on and server softaware on use.

What is writen in your htaccess file ?

If you’re on IIS, read here.

Not sure I know enough to be offering advice, but I had this problem lots of times when I change permalinks. My hosting support whiz taught me to re-Sync the htaccess file through the server control panel. Then wait about 2 minutes. So far has worked every time for me.
