Hi there,
Which notification in particular is doing this? All or just some types?
@venutius
Hi,
I mean all types. I tested several times and I gotta know that only admin role has notification “read” issue.
I have tested it with clean install and the results are the same.
I’m not getting that on my test system, I mark them a read, either as a user or admin and the are no longer shown as notifications.
Hi, @Venutius
Don’t mark them a read. Just click the link and the notification is not disappeared by admin role.
Only “mark as read” is worked to remove that notification.
I just sent admin a message, it came up in the notifications window, I clicked on that notification, it took me to the message and removed the notification.
Sorry to bother you @venutius ,
I’ll test this again to tell what the problem is on my side.
Thank you.
Hi again @venutius ,
It doesn’t seem to happen in every case.(in case of message, friendship request and mention, it does work very well.)
If “A” wrote a post and “B” replied on that, then “A” received the notification,
“B commented on one of your updates” this notification does not disappeared even A clicked that notification.
And A replied to the B’s comment, then B received the notification,
“A replied to one of your activity comments”
It does not disappeared even B clicked that notification.
I need your help 🙂
My Admin user wrote an activity update and my user replied to that activity update. The admin user got a notification and clicking on that notification took them to the activity entry and removed the notification.
My admin user then commented on the users comment. The user got a notification and clicking on that notification took them to the admin comment and removed the notification.
By the way, Im testing on BP Legacy, which BP theme are you using?
@venutius
Not on the Buddypress activity stream.
Could you please write a post via editor on the WordPress?
I mean on the post thread, not the Buddypress activity stream. 🙂
I’m testing on Twenty sixteen theme+Buddypress plugin only.
Ah got you, I can confirm clicking on blog based notifications does not clear the notification.
Could you raise a bug report on Trac?
https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/
Once you’ve done that I’ll add some comments about my own testing.
Hi there,
Did this issue have a resolution?
