Notification keeps being "notification"

I have a notification (seen in the admin bar) and whatever option I try it keeps being a notification (“notification [1]”) in the admin bar. “X accepted your friendship request”.

Does anybody have a clue on how to get rid of it?

I have this problem too. Similar with notification for messages.

I have the same issue, but it appears to only be on my admin level account. My test subscriber account does not have the same issue.

Find where the message appear and change this css

display:none;

it is not a very good solution but at least solution:)

Fixed it….errr, should I say found out what was causing the problem. One of out plugins was causing the issue. I deactivated it, and now the notification issue is resolved. It also fixed my Browser Tab issue I was having.
