Notification Management

I was wondering if it was possible to manage the type of notifications members see in their activity stream? I’m currently setting it up and at the moment members get a notification that another member has changed their profile pic. I would prefer to turn this off. Is this possible.
Where possible, please include baby instructions. I won’t be offended. I’m a relatively competent website owner but definitely not a developer.
