Old Filters on Activity Page

  • @nickbwatson

I’ve been making quite a few posts lately, but I really want to get my site going.

    Anyway,

I noticed on any users “Activity Page” there are filters to filter the feed. However, 2 plugins that I have deleted are still appearing as filters (with no icons beside them).

Obviously the icons are missing because I’ve removed the plugins.

How do I remove the filters?

The 2 plugins that are appearing are:

bp-events (it displays it as Events)

and the bp-skeleton-component (displays as Example)

I just installed the skeleton component to see what I had to work with, but now I want to get rid of all the old info on my site.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

I saw another post about this, but there was no solution.

I was able to get rid of the Events filter (I re-activated the Events plugin and removed all events I had created)

But now the Example filter is stuck, I tried re-activating that one, but there is nothing to remove on that.

    Please help?

    Thanks

Try looking in and deleting from the wp_bp_activity_user_activity_cached table

er, wp_bp_activity table (note to self: remove old test installs of BP to avoid confusion)

Sorry, where do I find that?

do you have access to Datbase, you can use phpmyadmin or any other database management tool to check this table and remove irrelevant entries.

Ohh, within the database okay. I do have access to it, but I’ve never really gone into the actual database to do anything.

    Thanks, I’ll have a look.

Found it, wow.. that was useful.

Wish I knew about that earlier.

    Thanks to both of you!
