Hi!

How do I add filter/Order of posts in forums?

at the moment we can only filter all forum posts / all groups by

Order of posts of all forums put together,

I need to give users the ability to order forum posts within Each forum separately.

i don’t even recall this being an option in bbPress – unless the “Views” plugin by _ck_ was used which allowed some javascript to reorder the table cols on the page.

you may have to dig into the BB_Query and see what you can do – (and reference the function bp_forums_get_topic_posts( $args = ” ) { and function bp_forums_get_forum_topics( $args = ” ) { in bp-forums)

the reason why it has become an issue

how with forum index – which is great!!

users can select how to show posts.. and what they choose in group forums page.. affects the all forums they later browse… so they have to go out and back again..

So the patch there enables the order of forum posts to be reversed with the latest on page one.

How do I apply a patch or can anyone turn this into a plugin?
