Other checkbox (with text) in profile field

    Hi, I need to add an “other” checkbox and radio button with a text input in the profile field.
    I found this code online: https://gist.github.com/boonebgorges/2401529

    The problem is that it have some bugs. It works only in multiselect, If the user selects only the ‘other’ checkbox it doesn’t show up in the profile view. It also doesn’t work for radio buttons.

    I really need this feature on the website that I’m working on, so if someone can give me at least a direction on how to achieve that, it will be very appreciated.
