Hi all, I’ve been researching this topic for some time and I realized it may make more sense to just ask the Buddypress community.

I’m working with a client who would ideally like to translate certain elements from their buddypress registration into completely personalized (and automated) emails.

I think her inspiration is something like Netflix: You watch a movie and it automatically suggests more that fit the category based upon genre. In the case of our website, you write a certain person in the “inspiration” field in the sign up form, it suggests you connect with more folks who put that same person in their “inspiration” field.

I know it would be crazy to ask for a step-by-step set of instructions to make this happen, but maybe someone could point me in the right direction in terms of plugins? Are there any plugins out there that might help me accomplish this? Does anyone have any experience with a similar idea that they are willing to share with me? We are at the very early stages of this process and we need any guidanc0 we can get.
