PHP 8 Compatibility?

Hi, we are in the process of upgrading to PHP 8 on our servers and I cannot find a document for BuddyPress concerning this question … thus I’m here: can you tell me please if it’s is compatible with PHP 8?

Just like WordPress PHP8 is ok with BuddyPress, see our PHPUnit corresponding GH action: https://github.com/buddypress/buddypress/runs/4734025743?check_suite_focus=true

I’m having trouble with updated to PHP 8.0 as well.. and the link to github is not particulalrly helpful if you (*I*) don’t know what it all means. Can you help, please?
