PLS help: Activation link sends users to wrong plage

When the users who sign up to my website register for my social network made with buddypress and follow the activation link they are sent to the wordpress dashboard, not to the frontpage of the website which I want them to. I dont really want them to have access to anything wordpress at all, but my theme (ruby) makes it impossible to delete the top navigation bar from wordpress so I’ve used a plugin to remove all the stuff from it other than the top right stuff which allows u to make groups etc. Anyway: How can I change it so that my new users get sent directly to the page, not the wordpress dashboard?
