plugin has prevented updates by disabling wp_version_check()

Hi,
In updating all of my plugins I narrowed the fault down to your plugin. None of the other plugins were causing the issue. After returning to my site I see the plugin has updated yet the issue is still present in the latest release.
I love your plugin. Can you please have your developers investigate this, as I’ve been trying to update from 5.4 to 5.7. The dash is still saying that I have 5.4 even after upgrading the core files to 5.7.
Also when I try to update from within the dashboard the upgrade.php script is failing and the page is blank with no upgrade button. Has anyone else encountered this?
Could there be as setting that needs adjusting?
