PM – reply by email?

When users receive a private message notification, they have started to just reply via email. This ofcourse goes to the default wordpress admin email, or wordpress@website.com. How/where can we change the reply-to field on a PM notification, to go to the original sender’s email account?

You’d need a plugin for this. Check out BuddyPress Reply By Email.

Thank you! I was having a heck of a time trying to find a plugin for this. I should have known to check git. Now I get to spend some time in config with mandrill. Thank you!

Ahhh.. bad news. That plugin completely crashed my site. Got it all configured for Mandrill and everything checked out perfectly on the back end, but it actually disabled the entire front-end of the site somehow. I’ll take my issue there…

    Ouch!

The developer of that particular plugin is a BuddyPress core developer so if you open an issue on the plugin’s GitHub repo, he should be able to help 🙂

Will do! I am also hoping to troubleshoot a few things and see if there is something on my install / plugins etc that is causing the issue. There is nothing worse than someone reporting a false issue because of a plugin conflict.
