BuddyPress.org

I am trying to establish a buddypress forum so far so good

But now I want to localise my site to Danish and now it is just going downhill

I have established a .po/.mo file using poEdit and when I had translated 50% I tested the translation and so far it worked. So I continued translating and this morning I reached 80% But when I tested the new files everything on my site was in English.

Is the .po file simply too big (1886 lines)?
What can I do?

My BuddyPress/WordPress installation contains only following activated plugins: BuddyPress: Akismet and WK Cleaner!
