I am installing the Protfolio plugin and was wondering if you may have more step by step instructions for it? These are the instructions below. I get to step 3 and I’m lost! Thanks

    Installation
•Upload portfolio folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
•Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
•Please check if you have the ‘portfolio.php’ and ‘portfolio-post.php’ template files in your templates directory. If you are not able to find these files, then just copy them from ‘/wp-content/plugins/portfolio/template/’ directory to your templates directory.
•Create a page and select Portfolio template for it in the Page Attributes block.
•Create (if necessary) Technologies and Executor profiles.
•Create portfolio, add title, description, short description, and upload images one of which must be marked as featured. Publish portfolio.

Hi Auktweena — that plugin is not related to BuddyPress, so you would be better off asking questions on the forum for the plugin, or on the wordpress.org forums.

As for step 3 – that’s standard ‘stuff’ for integrating a plugin’s templates into the theme you’re using for your website. This article gives you an introduction to theme development in WordPress: https://codex.wordpress.org/Theme_Development

Generally, theme work requires PHP development experience. In your case, to get the basics up and running, it looks like you just need to copy some files… you’ll need an FTP client to navigate and copy / move around the files on your website.
