Possible to have a member’s default avatar as a QR code URL to their profile?

A few members on my site don’t like the mystery man logo. I know how to customize it, but I was wondering if this is possible…

Is it possible to have BuddyPress or a plugin automatically generate the member’s profile URL as a QR code for their avatar unless they upload a photo to replace it?
