Possible to only allow messaging between group members

Hi there, i’m running a dating website where matches are entered into a “group” that contains both the two matched people and then an admin.
What i would like to do is control how members communicate via the buddypress messaging system. I ONLY want members who are connected together through a group (which ive renamed “match”) to be able to message each other. Effectively, on this site, your not supposed to see or communicate to anyone other than the person you have been matched with – admins create matches/groups and assign the matched members.
Enabling messaging allows members to actually compose a message and begin typing anything and autolookup finds any other member on the site which you can message – big no no!
Anyone have any thoughts? Message only the people your in a group with?
