    I guess your Blog will be “private” when you select “Privacy No” during Blog-setup ?

    Not sure about this though….

    This may help (thanks to Boone). It’s written for BP 1.1.3 which has the same problem with private posts/comments in the site wide activity stream. If you try this solution let us know if works on your BP 1.2 install.

    Just wrote a plugin to solve the problem without core hacks: http://teleogistic.net/code/buddypress/bp-mpo-activity-filter/

    if this is a bug, it should be fixed in Core-code.

    There are two ways of thinking about that, Erich. On one hand, insofar as the problem is mainly caused by a third-party plugin, there’s no real reason for it to be in the core. On the other hand, the core code is a little funny in that it doesn’t record private blog activity at all – IMO it’s better to record the activity and filter it out according to user roles. So something like what this plugin does might be appropriate for the core, but only the cases where privacy equals 0 or 1.

    I’m playing with your site a little more and there seems to be a deeper problem. The filter dropdown menu at the upper right doesn’t seem to work. The Blog Posts filter shows activity content, Forum Replies shows new friendships, etc. Do you have any idea why that is? Does it work right when you don’t have my plugin installed? (I don’t see how the plugin could make this problem happen – it only touches activity items with component name ‘blogs’)

    i actually reuploaded bp 1.2-rc1 and now the activity stream is working so that problem is fixed.

    it now hides that blog from “my blogs” :)

    the filter is working :D

    Can you take a look to confirm?

    I don’t see that blog – as a matter of fact, I don’t see *any* new blog posts. Lots of blog comments, but no new posts. Weird?

    @leisegang

    exactly! No blogposts at all. and thats now how it suppose to work i hope.

    all filters are working in my activity stream except the blog post.

    any idea whats wrong?

    Hm…I wonder if it’s because you have a language pack. On line 18, replace ‘blogs’ with your blogs slug and see if it works.

    Still, if you’re the site admin and you’re still not seeing anything, then the problem must happen earlier. The very first thing the plugin does is test whether the logged in user is a site admin and if so just gives back the activity feed unfiltered. Have you tried with both admin and non-admin users?
