Privacy-Default Privacy does not work on buddypress, any ideas why?

    So default privacy has 4 options:

    private
    friends
    logged in users
    public

    when I switch to friends or private, people who are not friends can still see the profile.

    how does this work?

    I have the exact same question. And to add to it, I see a Profile Visibility link as well, but it doesn’t do anything either. I’ve got member freaking out. Can anyone shed light on this topic?

    this is for RT media I believe, not the profile. at least it was in my case.
