Private group activity is showing on users profile activity to non-members.

    Hey everyone, I have just has a user report to me that non-members of their private group are able to read & reply to an activity feed on their profile page from what they have posted into the private forums! This should not be displayed to non-members.

    WordPress 4.2.2
    Buddypress 2.2.3.1
    BBPress Version 2.5.7

    Here is a visual example of what im talking about:

    “MrDork” is not part of the group and should not be able to see that message posted, hes able to see it as its appeared on PaulOnFire’s activity feed, this should be hidden to people not in the group.

    How can this be fixed?

    Hi @godsdead,
    This should not be displayed to non-members. Normally, it is not displayed !
    By default, BP private group content is only for

    Only users who request membership and are accepted can join the group.
    This group will be listed in the groups directory and in search results.
    Group content and activity will only be visible to members of the group.

    Could it be possible that Paul invited mr dork to join the group ?

    @danbp I think that he was once a member and then he was kicked out of the group, but im not 100% sure, any way I can check?
