Resolved – Private messages & notifications not working

I’m having some issues with private messages and notifications.

We’re running BuddyPress 2.2.0 with BBPress 2.5.4 on WP 3.9.3

Whenever I try to send a message (clicking on the link to open the message screen), I get redirected to my profile page. I’m set as admin, so it shouldn’t be a permission issue.
Additionally, I’ve sent a friend request and the notification for the other user is not displaying.

Does the problem still happen if you disable all plugins and use the Twenty Fifteen theme?

I’ll try disabling all plugins, but I can’t change the theme as it’s a live corporate site.

ok, I’m pretty sure it’s a conflict with the UserPro plugin. Is there a solution so that we can use both?

Not that I know of. If you can work out what part of UserPro is conflicting with BP, perhaps you could ask the plugin developer to release a hotfix?

Just found it through trial and error. It was the sync of the profiles between BuddyPress and UserPro.
