I have done a significant amount of research on membership sites, private sites etc. (with buddypress) but many of the support threads I find are over two years old, so not valid at this point.

Simply put, is there a contentprotection/membership/private (whatever the name), plugin to allow a site to have a home, welcome, blog page and then a private (members only) buddypress/bbpress/other content hidden from non members?

It seems there are many options, most are buggy with poor support and some are not compatible with buddypress and bbpress. However, the demand for this option is HUGE so I have to believe there is a viable solution out here somewhere and I am just missing it.

What do most buddypress sites use if they want to maintain private content?
