Problem with change password and s2member

  • @kstkeyes

I notice when I am logged into my s2member website as a paid user, if I click on my profile (Buddypress) and change password, it logs me out and then I can no longer log in. I opened up phpMyAdmin to look up my user record, and the password in the user_pass field was NOT encrypted. So in my buddypress profile I changed my password to ‘welcome’ (sans quotes..), and in the user_pass field in the WP users table, the password was not encrypted. Ideas?

If someone can help me identify why the password isn’t being stored encrypted I would be so appreciative.. please see screenshot from phpMyAdmin.

Would really love to get some feedback on this if anyone has any ideas?

Deactivate all plugins and the theme and test registering from WP using a Twenty theme as first.
    Then activate BP and re-test.
Then activate S2 or whatever you use for paid membership and again, test.
And finally, you have to test your theme (if not a Twenty one).

FYI, BuddyPress doesn’t handle the password field, but WordPress.
You’ll probably get better answers on WP or S2 support forum.
